The Common Ministry at Washington State University (WSU) is pleased to announce that outreach grants are available to student organizations at WSU.  The Common Ministry is a non-profit organization dedicated to the spiritual development of students at WSU.  The mission of the Common Ministry is to facilitate dialogue by increasing respect and mutual understanding among people of different faith, ethnic and cultural traditions.  It fosters cooperation among religious communities and civic organizations.  The emphasis on the outreach of the Common Ministry is on inclusion, openness and hospitality.

The outreach grants are available to all WSU student organizations, regardless of faith or religious affiliation.  Outreach programs that the Common Ministry support include, but are not limited to, mission trips; projects that serve women, children, elderly or underrepresented groups; and leadership/team building events.  A statement on how the proposed outreach project supports the Common Ministry’s mission and outreach should be included in the project summary.  The funds may be used for travel, food and supplies, but not for salaries. The grants are limited to $1000 maximum. The Common Ministry requires a project completion report from student groups that receive this grant.

The Common Ministry accepts applications three times per academic yearSeptember 5th, December 5th and March 5th.  Applicants will be notified six weeks after the deadline.
